Sterling Delighted by 'Uncle Yaya' Deal

RAHEEM Sterling admits it will be a pleasure to continue to share the pitch with 'Uncle Yaya' - after the Ivorian signed a new one-year extension at City.

The 34-year-old was the only one of City's six free agents to sign a new deal after a stunning comeback under Pep Guardiola in the final seven months of the season.

Having been initially exiled by the Catalan, following his fallout with agent Dimitri Seluk, Toure remains one of the first names on the team sheet after eight seasons at the club.

And Sterling, who has struck up a close relationship with the midfielder since joining the club in 2015, was delighted with the news.
