Inquests Open Today into Deaths of 22 Victims

THE inquests into the deaths of the 22 people killed in the Manchester Arena bomb attack are being opened today.

An initial hearing is due to take place at the Manchester Civil Justice Centre in Manchester city centre on Friday morning.

Basic details, including the names and ages of those who died, are expected to be confirmed at the hearing by Manchester's senior coroner Nigel Meadows.

All of the inquests are then due to be adjourned pending the completion of the full police investigation into the atrocity.

Full hearings are then expected to be held into each of the vics tims.

As with all inquests, all hearings will be held in public.

While the initial opening hearing on Friday is likely to be very brief, eventually the full inquests are expected to establish a series of key facts about the deaths outside the Manchester Arena on Monday, May 22, including who they were, when and where they died, the medical cause of their deaths and how they occurred. …
