MARCUS Rashford's versatility is not a problem for England boss Gareth Southgate.

And as United boss Jose Mourinho hunts for a new No.9, the national team boss feels he already has one in the shape of the Mancunian youngster.

Southgate used Rashford on the right wing against Scotland on Saturday.

But as he weighs up his options for England's friendly with France today, the Three Lions manager offered the view that, although the Reds forward can play in a variety of positions, he will probably develop into an out-and-out centre-forward.

Of the Scotland game, when Rashford was withdrawn after 65 minutes, Southgate said: "I think at this stage of his development, it is a great game for him to be involved in, to be involved in the build-up to a game like this, the intensity of it.

"He's had incredible experiences throughout the season. …
