LIAM Livingstone admits he is still a work in progress, despite winning his first England call-up.

The Lancashire batting all-rounder has been named in the squad for England's three-match T20 series against South Africa later this month alongside Red Rose team-mate Jos Buttler.

It means he will miss Lancashire's County Championship match against Hampshire, but having impressed for the England Lions, he can't wait to test himself at the highest level. He said: "It is very exciting. It was a nice surprise, but there is still a lot of hard work to go and a lot of learning to be done.

"I won't change my game or the way I play, I will just go in and do what I do for Lancashire.

"From the very first day of hitting a cricket ball, playing for England is what you want to do.

"There is a lot of hard work that has gone into it, so it will be a very proud moment, but there is a load more work to be done. …
