In the wake of the Manchester and London terror attacks, our Republican leaders were saddened and outraged over the innocents who were killed. I'm sure these sentiments were sincere. But where was their sympathy when a health care bill was approved that will leave more than 20 million people uninsured, eventually leading to the deaths of innocent young, elderly and disabled Americans?

My representative, Mike Kelly, R-Butler, was proud to vote for the American Health Care Act, even though it will cut Medicaid benefits for thousands in his district. He called it a vote for freedom to choose your health insurance. For people who can't afford health insurance, that translates to freedom to be uninsured - and from affordable, quality medical care. …
