NAT104 - (Gruelling-Bike-Race) WHITEHORSE. x-14s. A 240-kilometre bike relay that crosses some of the most scenic highway in the world kicks off this weekend in Yukon. The Kluane (kloo-AH'-nee) Chilkat International Bike Relay sees riders tackling the mountainous route from Haines Junction in Yukon to Haines, Alaska -- passing through a corner of northwestern B-C on the way. Coordinator Mike Kramer says the race began 25 years ago with about 80 riders -- 12-hundred will be hitting the road tomorrow. ("..from Australia.") (SOURCE:CKRW)
