Bayern in Hunt for Spurs Ace Walker

BAYERN Munich are reported to have joined the chase for City target Kyle Walker.

The Blues have made the Tottenham and England rightback one of their prime targets for the summer and were in the box-seat to land his services.

Walker had a fall-out with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino last season and City were prepared to pay up to £40m for the player. But Bayern are now said to have shown an interest, as they seek a replacement for Philipp Lahm, who announced his retirement this summer.

Spurs fuelled the rumours that Walker would leave by dropping him for the north London derby at the end of last season, and for the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

Ironically, his place in the team was taken by City academy graduate Kieran Trippier, who has also picked up his first England cap. …
