CALGARY. x-06s. Researchers at the University of Calgary say smartphone emergency apps don't provide much of the information people need during a disaster. Maleknaz Nayebi (mah-LEEK-naz nah-yeh-BEE) is a doctoral candidate at the Schulich (SHOO-lick) School of Engineering. She says people fleeing the Fort McMurray wildfire last May flocked to social media for help.
