Family Tribute to 'Loving Dad' Following His Murder

THE family of a man who died after being stabbed in Wythenshawe has paid tribute to the 'loving dad.' .

A murder probe was launched after Shaun Murphy, 38, was fatally attacked in Newall Green in the early hours of Saturday.

Police and paramedics were called after he was stabbed on Greenbrow Road at around 2.30am. Shaun was rushed to hospital, but later died of his injuries.

His family has now released a tribute - and a picture of him with his son Matthew.

Shaun's loved ones said he was 'just happy and enjoying his life.' .

The statement read: "Shaun was a kind, helpful and loving son, father, brother and uncle and he was always there to help whenever you needed him.

"He loved to go to work but most of all he cared about being a good father to his son Matthew.

"He loved to make people laugh and was always the joker, with silly nicknames for everyone he knew. …
