NAT066 - (Right-Whale-Deaths) HALIFAX x-19s. The Fisheries Department is trying to figure out what caused the recent deaths of several endangered right whales in the waters off eastern Canada. Fisheries officials are raising concern about the discovery of at least five dead North Atlantic right whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence this month. Biologist Cathy Merriman says officials are trying to get to the bottom of what happened to prevent future deaths. ("..to recover.") (SOURCE: The Canadian Press)
