Chile Chief Says It Is Bravo for His Claudio

CLAUDIO Bravo has been hailed as 'an incredible professional' by Chile boss Juan Antonio Pizzi after returning to action against Australia on Sunday.

The 34-year-old made a number of saves as La Roja booked their place in the semifinals of the Confederations Cup with a 1-1 draw in Moscow.

Bravo had not played since being carried off on a stretcher with a calf injury in April's derby and looked a little rusty as his heavy clearance resulted in James Troisi's opener for the Socceroos.

But, with a with a mouthwatering semi-final to come, against Portugal tomorrow, Pizzi was pleased with his goalkeeper's performance at the Otkrytiye Arena.

"Every player needs time to get used to a tournament, it was hard for me as a player when I had a long period out, but he managed," he said.
