Ryan Set for Biggest Fight of His Career at the O2

MIDDLETON boxer Matthew Ryan is set for the biggest fight of his career when he defends his English light-middleweight title live on Sky Sports this weekend.

Ryan puts his belt on the line against unbeaten Ted Cheeseman at the O2 Arena in London tomorrow.

Ryan won the title in March when he defeated Sonny Upton by majority decision at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre.

He went on to beat William Warburton during a keep busy bout in May, meaning Ryan now has a record of 14 wins and just one defeat.

Cheeseman has won all eight of his fights since making his debut in 2015, and most recently defeated fellow unbeaten fighter Jack Sellars on points earlier this year.

Six of Cheeseman's eight wins have come by stoppage, with the 21-year-old regarded as a big prospect within boxing. …
