(Legis-BC-Confidence) (WATCH FOR DATING)

Two long-time B-C provincial cabinet ministers say they are prepared for whatever the result following today's confidence vote expected to bring an end the Liberals' 16 years in power.

Health Minister Mary Polak and Minister of Tourism and Skills Training Shirley Bond say the vote will be difficult for the party, but they will accept the results.

If the Liberal minority government falls, the Lieutenant Governor will have to decide whether to dissolve the legislature or allow the N-D-P to form a minority government with the backing of the Green party. (18)

Indigenous demonstrators at Parliament Hill are going to move a teepee they set up to mark Canada 150.

The Bawaating Water Protectors from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario are trying to draw attention to the history of aboriginal people amid the celebrations for Canada 150 this weekend.

Police had originally arrested nine members of the group when they attempted to set up the teepee last night, but all were released without charges within a few hours.

Police allowed the group to set up near the eastern entrance to Parliament Hill, but after one of the activists was assaulted by someone authorities are trying to relocate the teepee to a safer location. (18)

The Canadian mission in Iraq has been extended for another two years, although Prime Minister Trudeau says despite a NATO request for police trainers, there are no plans to send more troops to Afghanistan.

The military will remain in Iraq until at least 2019 to help in the fight against the Islamic State.

Trudeau says Canada is looking to help in other areas after serving with distinction in Afghanistan for more than 10 years. (18)
