Storm Boss Hopes New Arrivals Will Be Big Hit on the Ice

MANCHESTER Storm head coach Ryan Finnerty has backed new signing Ryan Trenz to have a big impact at the club.

Trenz joins the Storm following a season with ECHL side Alaska Aces, having also spent four years with Northern Michigan in the NCAA.

He now arrives in Manchester - and Finnerty is confident that the 25-year-old defenceman will perform well.

"All the references I have acquired on Trenz have been very positive. He has been described as a very mobile and intelligent two-way defenceman that will help our transition game," he said.

"He shows a lot of leadership qualities, is a great skater and is a skilled puck-mover. He's an instinctive defender with an active stick and his compete level is always high, which is something all coaches look for in a player. …
