CITY forward Gabriel Jesus can be forgiven for going easy with his headers in pre-season following his eye injury.

But the Brazilian ace has revealed why it isn't the strongest part of his game any way.

Jesus recently allayed fears he would need close-season surgery after he broke his eye socket in an accidental clash with City team-mate Nicolas Otamendi when Brazil played Argentina in Melbourne last month.

But he told Brazilian television channel Esp_Interativ he was already 'a little afraid' of heading the ball.

He said: "I have a little trauma. I hit my head when I was a kid. Probably that is why I'm a little afraid of that."

The Brazilian was stretchered off during the friendly after Otamendi inadvertently elbowed him in the face.

There were concerns he would need an operation, which could have put him out of the start of pre-season. …
