KIERAN O'Hara has confirmed he is staying at United after signing an extension to his contract.

The 21-year-old was one of six players whose deals expired in the summer, but the Stockport-born goalkeeper was not included in United's released list which was published at the weekend.

United Reserves have already returned to pre-season training.

O'Hara wrote on Twitter: "A summer to remember but now time to get back to what matters, can't wait to push on and really looking forward to the new season #MUFC."

Matthew Olosunde, Matty Willock, Charlie Scott and Max Johnstone also signed extensions but Josh Harrop rejected United's offer to join Championship club Preston North End on a free transfer. Kayne Diedrick-Roberts and Faustin Makela were released.

O'Hara has had loan spells at Stockport and Morecambe but spent last season at United and was named on the bench for their final Premier League fixture at home to Crystal Palace. …
