R-C-M-P in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan have put out a nationwide Amber Alert for an eight-year-old girl.

Police believe Daniella Shatokhina was abducted by a man described as between 18 and 30 years old, with dark skin, long shaggy hair and wearing a dark ball cap.

He is believed to be driving a dark four-door vehicle with a rear spoiler. (19)



He got booted out of Manitoba's Tory caucus and now wants to cross the aisle and he's willing to go to court to get his wish.

Steven Fletcher was dumped last Friday after criticizing a proposed new Crown agency promoting energy efficiency.

In his way is a 2006 Manitoba law that stipulates that any politician no longer in a caucus must sit as an independent until the next election, or resign and run in a byelection under their new party banner.

Fletcher says he hasn't seen a similar ban in any other province. (19)



Canada's top general is condemning the actions of a group of Armed Forces members who disrupted a spiritual event on Canada Day.

Five men disrupted an event memorializing Indigenous Canadians who suffered at the hands of Halifax's controversial founder, Edward Cornwallis.

General Jonathan Vance, chief of the defence staff, calls the incident "deplorable" and says the men will be removed from training and duties while the incident is investigated. (19)
