NAT103 - (Military-Ceremony-Incident) HALIFAX x-16s. The commander of the Royal Canadian Navy on the East Coast has apologized to the Aboriginal community for a confrontation in which Armed Forces members disrupted a ceremony in Halifax. Rear Admiral John Newton says he has spoken to five men who approached a spiritual event honouring the suffering of Indigenous Peoples. TAG: Witnesses say that as the group of young men approached the ceremony, they were singing "God Save the Queen." The men said they were members of the Proud Boys, a self-declared group of "Western Chauvinists," who say they are tired of apologizing for progress.
