Scouting report * The Cardinals conclude th is 10-game home stand and the first half of the season with a three-game series starting Friday against the New York Mets.

The Mets, who sit at seven games under .500, enter the series with two days' rest, as their game Wednesday was postponed due to rain.

They could use the rest. They have been plagued by injuries: Starting pitchers Matt Harvey and Noah Syndergaard, closer Jeurys Familia, second baseman Neil Walker and veteran third baseman David Wright are five of the 10 Mets on the disabled list.
