CALGARY. x-15s. Alberta says it will spend 1.53 billion dollars to help bankroll a major Calgary transit project known as the Green Line. The money to expand the light rail transit line will flow over eight years until the first stage is complete in 2026. Mayor Naheed Nenshi says the L-R-T expansion will transform Calgary by creating jobs, reducing traffic congestion and cutting pollution.
