Violence Flares as Men Refused Entry to Celeb Restaurant

VIOLENCE erupted outside a plush Manchester restaurant - popular with celebrities - after a group of men was refused entry.

Glasses and lanterns were thrown at the front of Neighbourhood in the Spinningfields district of the city.

Greater Manchester Police is now investigating the incident on Saturday, July 8. Staff at the venue dialled 999 just after 11.40pm following initial reports of 'males fighting.' .

Officers were told that the violence erupted after a group of men was refused entry.

By the time police arrived at the scene the men had run off.

They had picked up glasses and a lantern and thrown them at the restaurant, smashing a window, according to GMP.

Damage valued at between £600 and £700 was caused. "Investigations are on-going," said a GMP spokesman. The venue opened as normal the following night and management say that a subsequent closure is part of longplanned scheduled works ahead of a relaunch on July 20, which will feature a series of New York-themed parties. …
