Chinese Nobel Peace Prize laureate Liu Xiaobo (lee-OO' show-BOH') a writer and human rights activist, died in prison after spending decades rallying for a democratic China. Today, State Department Spokeswoman Heather Nauert said the U-S is sending its condolences to his family - especially his wife, who the U-S is asking the Chinese government to free from house arrest.
