BC11 - (Mountie-Death-Sentencing)

COLWOOD, B.C. -21s. The family of the R-C-M-P officer killed by a drunk driver last year says the four-year prison sentence wasn't long enough. Constable Sarah Beckett's family handed a letter to the Crown after today's sentencing saying the term for Kenneth Fenton should have been much longer. Alisia (ah-LEE'-see-ah) Adams, spokeswoman for the B-C Prosecution Service, says the Crown had to suggest a sentence to the court in an unbiased manner.

TAG: The court heard Fenton's blood-alcohol limit was more than three-times the legal limit when he ran a red light and hit Beckett's cruiser broadside.
