NAT111 - (CRIME-Dead-Infants) WINNIPEG. x-14s. A Manitoba woman who hid the remains of six infants in a rented storage locker has been sentenced to eight and a half years in prison. Andrea Giesbrecht (GEEZ'-breckt) was found guilty earlier this year of storing the remains in plastic bins in a U-haul storage unit in Winnipeg. Provincial court Judge Murray Thompson said Giesbrecht's moral culpability was extreme and her behaviour needed to be denounced. Defence lawyer Greg Brodsky (BRAWD'-skee) says Giesbrecht stored the remains in order to save them. ("..to be born.") (SOURCE:The Canadian Press)

TAG: Brodsky says he may appeal the sentence.
