CITY have insisted on a buy-back clause for Kelechi Iheanacho after boss Pep Guardiola confirmed the Nigerian striker will leave the club this summer.

Leicester City are leading the race for the 20-year-old, with a £25m deal close to completion.

West Ham have also tracked him after he was told he was not part of Guardiola's plans.

But City have kept their options open by inserting a clause into his deal, which means they can bring him back to the Etihad in the future.

Guardiola said: "Kelechi is a young player.

"As a manager it is an honour to work with him.

"It was not easy for him, I didn't give a lot of chances.

"He decided to stay in Manchester (instead of going on tour) and maybe next week he will finish. …
