Ohio Man Sentenced for Role in Burglaries

The third member of a four-man burglary team from Ohio that broke into pharmacies across Western Pennsylvania in the middle of the night to steal drugs is headed to federal prison for a year.

U.S. District Judge Nora Barry Fischer on Thursday imposed that term on Billy Mayhone, 26, of Grove City, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, who had been indicted last year along with three other Columbus-area men all in their 20s.

Another member, Michael Hanson, was sentenced this month to three years and a month, and another, Mark Hicks, is serving nine months. The case against the fourth, Travis Maynard, is pending.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Pennsylvania State Police said the foursome drove here from Columbus to case pharmacies and then break in between 3:30 and 5 a.m. to avoid detection. …
