LUXURY hotel DoubleTree by Hilton has revealed plans for a huge new restaurant and bar.

Store Street Exchange and Store Street Craft Bar will open on the ground floor of the hotel this autumn, taking inspiration from its location near Piccadilly Station.

The station was originally named Store Street when it opened in 1842, before it became London Road Station and then Piccadilly.

An industrial design scheme will also celebrate the area's heritage as a transport hub, as these artist's impressions show.

Open from breakfast through to dinner, Store Street Exchange will serve 'outstanding, uncomplicated food and drink' with a focus on local suppliers, the hotel says.

The menu will revolve around the rotisserie and grill, specialising in locally-sourced chicken and steaks, as well as simple salads, fresh breads, quick bites and puddings. Accessed via its own entrance on Auburn Street, it will feature a variety of seating areas including an outdoor terrace, semi-private dining options and mini-meeting spaces, catering to everything from brunch to business lunches and occasion dinners. …
