Young Keeper Richardson Joins List of United Stoppers

UNITED have completed the signing of goalkeeper Theo Richardson.

Following a spell at Leeds, the 18-year-old joined the club on trial earlier this year and made his debut in the mini derby at the Etihad in March.

The Lincoln-born keeper impressed in the 2-2 draw and made a series of acrobatic saves at the death.

Richardson continued to catch the eye despite stiff competition and was named on the bench for the under-23s' penultimate game of the season against Arsenal.

The teenager has since played in the Dallas Cup and will feature in United's return to the prestigious Super Cup NI tournament - formerly the Milk Cup - in Northern Ireland this week.

Richardson now has a profile on the club's website - which confirms he has joined Kieran McKenna's side on a permanent basis. …
