WINNIPEG. x-11s. About 150 unionized workers at Winnipeg's Richardson International Airport have gone on strike to back contract demands. They set up picket lines early this morning after negotiators failed to reach an agreement yesterday. The workers are members of the Union of Canadian Transportation Employees and the Public Service Alliance of Canada. Marianne Hladun (huh-LAD'-uhn), a spokeswoman for P-SAC, says there was hope yesterday that a deal could be reached.
