Police in Rosevale Avenue, Burnage A MUM has spoken of her horror after a suspected stolen car that was being chased by police rammed into the vehicle she and her baby were in.

Thirty-year-old Rachel McCormick was getting a lift with her neighbour when the Alfa Romeo came speeding down her road in Burnage on Tuesday at around 1pm.

It drove into them before coming to a stop, before the men inside got out and fled.

Residents on Rosevale Road then locked two suspects in one of their houses and police later made three arrests.

Rachel, a mum-of-three, said: "I was with my friend and she was doing a three-point turn to get out of the avenue. My eightmonth-old was in the back.

"It makes you think 'what if '? "My seven-year-old was playing out with his friend and my baby son was asleep but woke up and began to scream. …
