A TEENAGE boy and a 34-year-old man have been arrested after a pensioner died following a crash which left an Audi on its roof.

The collision took place on Errwood Road near Levenshulme High School.

When officers arrived they found an Audi RS4 had overturned after the impact of the collision and had come to rest on the pavement.

An 89-year-old man, who was travelling in a Vauxhall Astra, was taken to hospital where he later died. A 34-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

They both remained in custody for questioning last night.

It is unclear at this stage who was driving the Audi.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information - or any witnesses - to come forward after the incident on Thursday at around 1. …
