BEER fans are also getting geared up for the next instalment of the Manchester Beer and Cider Festival.

The festival doesn't take place until January next year, but advance tickets go on sale today and popular sessions often sell out.

Organised by the Greater Manchester branches of the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA), the event returns to Manchester Central with the usual vast selection of keg and cask from the UK and beyond. 2018 also sees the addition of a selection of fruit wines, say organisers, and a wider choice of food. Last year, Manchester Beer and Cider Festival curated 750 different drinks, poured over 62,000 pints and welcomed 13,588 beer fans throughout the weekend.

And this year visitors can expect a couple of changes at the Manchester Central venue. …
