Bardsley Blow as Leg Break Rules Her Out

CITY Women's keeper Karen Bardsley has been ruled out of the rest of the Women's Euros - and could be a doubt for the start of the Blues' season after breaking her leg.

Bardsley came off in the quarterfinal against France with 16 minutes to go, but it was hoped she would still be able to play a part in the rest of the tournamnet.

However, those hopes ended after a scan revealed the England No. 1 had fractured her fibula.

England face hosts Holland in the semi-final tomorrow night and Bardsley isn't the only City player who will be missing the game. Jill Scott was booked against France and, as it was her second yellow of the tournament, is suspended for the tie.

Bardsley will remain with the rest of the Lionnesses rather than flying back to Manchester early to start her recovery. …
