DETECTIVES investigating the death of a man in his own flat have made two more arrests.

Jonathan Herd died after he was stabbed multiple times in his home on Lees New Road in Oldham, sometime between 8pm on Saturday and 11am the following day.

Police were alerted when the 44-year-old was found dead at around 12pm on Sunday.

A murder investigation was launched and a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Detectives have now said two more men - aged 37 and 38 - have now been arrested on suspicion of murder.

All three men remain in police custody and are being questioned further.

Police are urging anyone with any information about the incident to come forward.
