Boost for Colts as Aces' Clash with Poole Is Early Casualty

BELLE Vue Colts resume their National League campaign at Birmingham tonight, hoping to extend their lead at the top of the table.

And with the Aces' Premiership fixture in Poole scheduled for tonight already having been postponed due to a poor weather forecast, both Dan Bewley and Jack Smith will resume normal service at Perry Barr.

Originally, Mitchel Davey and Danny Ayres had been booked to guest, but with his own riders available and eligible to take their place, team boss Graham Goodwin says it's the ideal scenario.

"We're grateful to both Mitchell and Danny who were more than happy to assist us, but it's always a million times better when you can track your own riders in such an important race," he said.

"We will still be utilising rider replacement for Lee Payne at No.4, which will allow us to take full advantage of the skills of the rest of the team to hopefully come away with a favourable result. …
