Celtic Assistant Boss Is Keen to See Roberts Return

CELTIC assistant manager Chris Davies has hinted that the Scottish champions are still interested in bringing City midfielder Patrick Roberts to the club, despite reported interest from Nice.

The 20-year-old made the move up to Scotland in January last year on an 18-month loan deal - and made a number of eye-catching appearances during his time north of the border.

The winger managed to bag 17 goals in 60 appearances in all competitions for Celtic, with the Scottish champions eager to secure his permanent signature from City this summer.

Recent reports suggest that Ligue 1 side Nice are also interested but, despite that, Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies has made clear that Roberts would always be made welcome back with them.

"We really enjoyed working with Patrick, there is always going to be a home for him here if that suits everybody," Davies said. …
