AUNCHING earlier this summer, one of the newest additions to Manchester city centre, Potato Wharf has proved a hit.

LSet back in Castlefield, on the banks of the River Medlock and Bridgewater Canal, the latest phase comprises 191 one- and two-bedroom apartments.

There will also be 100 car parking spaces for residents.

But with the market in the city centre increasingly more competitive, it can be difficult for many to get on the ladder.

To ease some of the strain, the developers of Potato Wharf, Lendlease, are offering to pay the stamp duty for a limited number of new tenants.

Richard Cook, head of residential at Lendlease, said: "We are thrilled to be returning to Manchester with our Potato Wharf development, providing residents with a rare opportunity to buy high-quality new-build homes in a central city location. …
