Wolfpack down Workington 68-0 in Super 8s

WORKINGTON, United Kingdom - The Toronto Wolfpack rebounded from their first loss of the season in dominant fashion, downing Workington Town 68-0 on Sunday in the second round of the Kingstone Press League 1 Super 8s playoffs.

Blake Wallace scored four tries, Jonny Pownall had two -- including one at the last second -- and captain Craig Hall added two tries and 10 conversions for Toronto (16-1-0), which had been upset 26-16 at York City last weekend to open the Super 8s.

The league-leading Wolfpack, aiming for one of two promotion spots to the second-tier championship, play the Keighley Cougars next week in the third round.

Jake Emmitt, James Laithwaite, Liam Kay and Quentin Laula Togaga'e also scored tries for Toronto at Derwent Park.

Wallace had back-to-back tries in the first half after Hall opened the game with a penalty kick. …
