CITY will kick-off their WSL campaign with an away game at newlypromoted Yeovil Town.

Nick Cushing's team are out to defend the league trophy they won last year in an impressive run that saw them go without losing a game in the whole campaign.

But they have since been reminded that they will not have it all their own way going forward.

The Spring Series was used to help move the league from a summer to a winter schedule, and though City impressed in their eight games they were beaten to the title by a strong Chelsea team, with Arsenal also running them close.

City take on the Gunners at home in their second game of the season while their first meeting with Chelsea comes away on December 9, the last game before a winter break.

Cushing will hope to have goalkeeper Karen Bardsley fit as soon as possible for the campaign. …
