All first-time hunters and trappers regardless of age must complete a Hunter-Trapper Education course before buying a Pennsylvania hunting license. The training consists of online independent study, which takes about four hours, and six hours of classroom training. Applicants must be at least 11 years old.

To register and access online training, visit www.pgc.state.pa.us and click on the Hunter-Trapper Education Classes link. Current scheduled classes are below by county. All are online registration only.
