CBC's Babb Injured; Elite Prospect May Miss Senior Season; FOOTBALL

Article excerpt

Kamryn Babb of CBC sustained a significant knee injury at football practice late last week and may miss all of his senior high school season, multiple sources confirmed to STLhighschoolsports.com and the Post-Dispatch on Monday.

A wide receiver and defensive back for the Cadets, Babb is among the most sought after college recruits in the nation in the 2018 class.

The 6-foot-1 and 175-pound Babb trimmed his list of more than 30 scholarship offers to a select nine that includes Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss and USC.

Rivals.com lists him as the No. 3 recruit in the state and the No. 89 overall national prospect. Recruiting service 247.com ranks Babb as the No. 1 recruit in Missouri, No. 38 in the nation and No. 6 at receiver.

CBC coach Scott Pingel declined comment when reached by phone. …
