Government and Airlines Tell Tourists to Watch for Updates

AIRLINES due to fly from Manchester to Barcelona in the wake of the terror attack have advised passengers to monitor their websites for updates.

A Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesman last night said it was working closely with Spanish authorities and asked travellers in Barcelona to follow advice from local emergency services.

There are regular flights from Manchester airport to Barcelona today, but airlines were advising travellers to stand by for updates.

The next flight to Barcelona was due to take off at 6.25am today followed by a Monarch service at 7.25am, with Jet2.com due to fly at 7.55am.

Vueling are due to fly out at 3.35pm.

All airlines are advising passengers to monitor their websites for any updates due to the changing nature of incidents like this. …
