Police say that a suspect is in custody and is being treated in hospital after officers shot him.

The man who was once called "Trump's Brain" is out of the White House.

Sources say Steve Bannon is leaving.

His departure marks the fourth senior White House official to leave Donald Trump's administration in the past five weeks.

The former banker and media executive is credited with guiding Trump to victory in last year's election.

Before joining the campaign, Bannon was head of Breitbart News, which he once described as a "platform for the alt-right." (11)
