NAT132 - (Solar-Eclipse-Viewing) TORONTO. x-05s. Canada's partial eclipse began in Victoria and ended in Saint John, New Brunswick today. Toronto enjoyed 70 per cent coverage. The University of Toronto's Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics was hosting an eclipse watching party at the Canadian National Exhibition, where about 20 astronomers were on hand with solar telescopes and eclipse glasses. 72-year-old Louise Leroux of Toronto says she enjoyed her first partial eclipse with her daughter. TAG: It'll be another few years before Toronto gets another eclipse. In 2024, Toronto will enjoy 99 per cent coverage, while Hamilton will get a total eclipse.
