NAT058 - (Trans-Mountain) VANCOUVER. x-17s. British Columbia Attorney General David Eby says the government is seeking intervener status in court action over Kinder Morgan's expansion of the Trans Mountain pipeline. The expansion of the line running from the Edmonton-area to a port in Burnaby, B-C would triple its capacity -- a plan opposed by several municipalities and First Nations, who fear oil spills on land or in Vancouver-area waters. Eby says Alberta has already been granted intervener status in the case and B-C should be represented in court too. ("..to appear.") (SOURCE: The Canadian Press)
