Hey There, Washburn: Pop-Punk Band Plain White T's Will Play in Top City

For this year's WU Stock concert at Washburn University, the college concert is throwing it back to a band that made its debut 20 years ago.

In 1997, pop-punk band Plain White T's started writing together, but didn't become a well-known name among today's college students until their hit single "Hey There Delilah" made them Grammy-nominated stars in 2007.

Part of Washburn University Family Day Weekend, WU Stock tickets are available to all, at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, in Lee Arena. Washburn student tickets are $5 and general admission tickets are $20. Tickets are available at wutickets.com.

In addition to "Hey There Delilah," the band's other most well-known songs are "1,2,3,4" and "Rhythm of Love." Their most recent album, "American Nights," was released in 2015, and they currently have a new single advertised on their website, "Land of the Living. …
