Sheriff IDs Man Captured in Pursuit

A 30-year-old man was behind bars Wednesday morning, a day after he was arrested by Shawnee County sheriff's officers following a brief foot chase in south Topeka.

Shawnee County sheriff's Sgt. Todd Stallbaumer said Robert D. Holloway Jr., of Topeka, was booked into the Shawnee County Jail at 8:37 p.m. in connection with aggravated weapons violation by a convicted felon, distribution of hallucinogens, possession of a hallucinogenic drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The incident leading to Holloway's arrest occurred about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 3800 block of S.W. Topeka Boulevard as the Shawnee County Sheriff's Office was conducting a narcotics operation.

While officers were executing a search warrant at the Topeka Plaza Inn, 3810 S.W. Topeka Blvd., authorities said Holloway fled from the scene, running a short distance to the south and west of the motel. …
