HALIFAX x-11s. A mentally ill Nova Scotia man who killed his mother and two grandparents will not be allowed more freedom. Codey Reginald Hennigar was arrested in January 2015 after the bodies of his mother and her parents were found following a fire inside a home in Wyses Corner. Scott Theriault, director of the Department of Psychiatry at the Capital District Health Authority, says he's disappointed but not surprised by the decision to deny Hennigar unescorted day passes.

TAG: Hennigar had previously admitted to the killings. In January, a Nova Scotia judge declared him not criminally responsible for his actions because of his schizophrenia.
