NAT118 - (Fire-Deaths-Hearing) HALIFAX x-17s. A mentally ill Nova Scotia man who killed his mother and two grandparents will not be allowed more freedom. Codey Reginald Hennigar was arrested in January of 2015 after the bodies of his mother and her parents were found following a fire inside a home in Wyses Corner. Crown lawyer Aileen McGinty says the Criminal Code Review Board made the right decision to deny Hennigar unescorted day passes. ("..or the other.") (SOURCE:The Canadian Press)

TAG: In January, a Nova Scotia judge declared Hennigar not criminally responsible for his actions because of his schizophrenia. At the time, Crown attorney Mark Heerema said the victims died of a combination of blunt-force injuries to the head and smoke inhalation.
