Police Release CCTV Image of Man They Want to Speak to in Rape Investigation

POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a woman was dragged into a garden and raped.

The woman left The Cotton Tree Pub, on Cross Lane, in Abbey Hey, Gorton, accompanied by a man at around 1.30am on Bank Holiday Monday.

They walked to Burtinshaw Street before the man dragged the victim into a garden and raped her.

The man - described as Asian, aged 28 to 30-years-old and 5ft 10ins - then ran away.

He was wearing a dark baseball cap and a dark hooded top.

The woman is being supported by specially-trained officers.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the investigation. Det Sgt Nicole Charlton, of GMP's Serious Sexual Offences Unit, said: "Specialist officers are looking after the victim and ensuring she has the support she needs. …
